What's On My Kindle?

I've had my Kindle for about 7 months now. My Mum bought me it for my 21st birthday as a part of my present and I absolutely love it. I was never sure as to whether I wanted one or not because I'm a huge book lover and going round charity shops and book fairs has always been a hobby of mine. But I have no regrets! I am so in love with this little machine now and I have read so much more than I used to.

I keep mine in this pink 'leather' case which I bought from eBay - LINK - I couldn't find the exact one again but that is pretty much the same one, for the same price.

At first I kept it in a silicone skin inside a sleeve but the case is so much more protective. I don't know why I still keep the silicone skin on but for some reason I do. It actually keeps it more secure within the case anyway so win-win.

I tend to keep a collection on my Kindle for books I've recently read. I like to keep my goodreads account up to date but sometimes I forget to for a while. Keeping this collection helps me to go back and check I've put everything in.

I've read both these triologies within about two weeks - woops! They were both really good and super addictive reads. I can definitely see the obsession with both!

I have about 70 books stored on here ready to read. As you can see below, these are the next few I'm set to read. A mixture of old and new with the odd classic thrown in there.

I'm constantly looking for new and interesting reads and going on book hunts is an old favourite of mine. My boyfriend doesn't enjoy it so much though!

Add me on Goodreads if you're on there - LINK

I'd love to hear any book recommendations you could give me down below :)
Also, if anybody knows of any online book clubs, let me know! Now I've finished uni I have so much more time for reading and would love to get involved with a few clubs.

Hi, my name is Jodie and I'm addicted to buying iPhone cases.

Since getting my iPhone last July, I have developed a serious addiction to buying iPhone cases. Admittedly, I have never spent more than a few pounds on one, but still. I am 21, it is a bit ridiculous right?

Nevertheless, a new one arrived in the post this morning. Just in time to cheer me up from my essay depression.

This is a 3D melting ice-cream hard iPhone cover:

I LOVE IT.

It comes in two pieces as seen below, making it a hell of a lot easier to put onto your phone than some other cases I've had. I haven't a clue what the weird patch in the middle is for though.

The green part has a shine to it, whilst the bright pink part is more of a matte finish. Both complement each other really well. I adore the simplicity of it and the finishing touches of the small drips down the front of the phone.

It also came with these weird looking things (not the pen, I don't know why that's there):

Apparently the top thing is to sit your phone on landscape in order to watch videos. Which, I guess is cool to own but I highly doubt I will ever use it.
The other two things are something to do with iPod docks and compatibility? If anybody could actually tell me what they are properly that'd be amazing! Otherwise I'll probably just throw them away.

I bought this case from eBay for £2.99 but I have found them cheaper LINK

They are from Hong Kong but they honestly don't take that long to arrive considering. I think mine arrived in under two weeks, which is pretty good! I've never had any troubles buying from abroad so hopefully none of you will.

There are loads more colours and there are even some three colour ones knocking about on eBay. Just search "3d melting ice cream" and they'll come up.

I do quite like the orange and blue one but I think I should probably stop buying iPhone cases for a while now!

I probably shouldn't encourage you to fuel my addictions, but if any of you know of any amazing phone cases do let me know! iPhone or Blackberry :)

eBay Wishlist #1 - Bags!

At present I have around 160 items being watched on eBay. I say "around" as there are more on my wish list that eBay wouldn't let me watch (the first sign you are addicted to eBay).

The majority of these are items I've found via VIPXO's regular eBay hunts. She is like the eBay guru! Not only does she do weekly eBay posts featuring designer inspired items, there will often be several posts each day on her tumblr with links to items people have asked her to find.

Although I personally am extremely grateful to her for doing this - my bank balance is not. And eBay is obviously starting to get mad at me for watching so many things!

I thought I would do a mini series of posts featuring items that are on my wish list, probably split up by type! This week will be bags (as the title of the post suggests!).

The first bag is this fox face bag. I actually already own this bag but it's still on my watch list for some reason. I absolutely adore this bag and it's an absolute bargain!

Next is this gorgeous clutch bag
I love the detailing on the knuckle duster handle and think it's a really good way of holding the bag. Bag and ring in one! It also comes with a strap although I am dubious as to how long that would actually be.

This tote bag I think is supposed to be a designer inspired bag but I haven't a clue which designer bag it is! Either way, it's a simple and cute tote bag that looks as though, size wise, it would be perfect for those of us that like to carry a lot of stuff around.

This next bag I believe is meant to look similar to a longchamps bag but I could be mistaken.
I'm still deciding what colour to get it in, although the one pictured is winning so far.

This bag is a replica of a bag a lot of celebrities seem to have had in the past - as is pictured on the eBay listing. I love the studded detailing on the bottom and think that not only is fashionable, but highly practical! A little extra reinforcement to the bottom of the bag whilst protecting it from surfaces should you have to place it down anywhere.

This bag is a Celine 'inspired' (aka blatant copy) bag. I love how cute the face detailing looks. Although this listing only seems to have quite garish colours, you could probably find some plainer ones elsewhere on eBay.
I do quite like the one picture, with the red face, but when I eventually get it I'll probably go for a plain black one. I'm not one for coloured bags really!

So that's it for the first post! Not too sure when the next one will be up/what it will feature but I still have plenty of items to share with the world!

I'd love to know if any of you have any of these bags and what they're like so feel free to leave a link in the comments :-) Also if you have any questions about eBay I'm happy to answer any. I'm constantly on it either buying or selling so I can more than likely help you out!

NYX Jumbo Pencils Review

For Christmas 2011, I asked for a few beauty items that had been floating around my favourites on my browser for a while. These included some NYX Jumbo Pencils.

I'd seen them mentioned by numerous beauty bloggers and Youtubers for AGES. So when I stumbled across THIS eBay seller, I knew I had to get my hands on them. All pencils arrived bubble wrapped (my Auntie just wrapped them up as they came, in case you were wondering how I know this!) with that annoying cellophane wrap around each one.

It cost £14.00 roughly (after exchange rate) for purchase AND shipping. This is compared to $4.50 per pencil plus shipping from the NYX website itself. I'm not sure if you can get them cheaper anywhere else but to me, after this comparison, this seemed pretty reasonable.

The colours I chose were (from bottom up):
Milk (604) - a gorgeous white colour
Gold (612) - quite a coppery kind of gold
Pots & Pans (603) - a typical silver colour
Dark Brown (602) - a dark brown that actually looks quite black in the stick
Black Bean (601) - black (surprisingly lol!)
French Fries (609) - sort of like a dark brown with a hint of gold colour

I have been using these since Christmas and think it's safe to say - I'm in love. They are such gorgeous colours and work so well as a base colour for almost ANY eyeshadow look that I've been skipping the primer a lot of the time. Milk (the white) works well at accentuating any colour that you want to really stand out as a lid colour and also comes in handy as a highlight for the inner corner. I've also found that the black is really useful for darkening any colour you want on the outer corner. By applying a little and smudging it out before placing eyeshadow on top, it deepens the colour and creates a much better smokey eye.

Loving: Skater Dresses

I thought I'd do a quick post to share with you all my latest lust after item: the skater dress.

The majority of dresses I already own are in the skater dress style and I've seen so many on eBay lately that I really want to own. I think it's such a flattering style for those of us who are pear shaped; the skirt skims off the hips and does well disguising larger thighs.

Here are a few I'm hoping to purchase in the next couple of weeks.

1 | 2 | 3
4 | 5 | 6

My favourite is the houndstooth patterned one - I think it'll help me channel my inner Kim Kardashian!

I'd rather die young, than live my life without you.

The title has nothing to do with this post, but I've fallen in love with BeyoncĂ© all over again lately, so thought I'd use one of her lyrics seeing as I couldn't think of a better title :)

This is just a quick post to show you guys a recent purchase I've made.

A blogger many of you may be aware of - VIPXO - has recently been doing a series of blog posts on ebay finds. They have all been designer inspired and occasionally on her tumblr, general pieces that people have asked her to find.

She blogged this skater style dress a while back and I purchased it almost instantly.

The dress comes with a belt already but I wore my bow belt instead as I felt it added a little something to the outfit.

I absolutely ADORE the mustard yellow colour and think it's going to be a perfect autumn dress. It is fitted at the top and then flares out skater style from the waist. It's such a flattering dress for my pear shaped figure (for sizing purposes, I'm a size 10 on top, 12 on bottom) albeit perhaps a little short.

One bad thing I will say, be careful getting out of taxis in the wind! Several men stood outside a bar saw right up my skirt last week in that very situation.

This dress can be purchased here: LINK for £19.99 and is available in a variety of colours.

There are also many similar dresses available in numerous high street stores for similar prices.
