I Love Halloween!

Halloween is possibly one of my favourite times of year!

Not only because my birthday is on October 30th ;-)

I love getting dressed up and being creative with make up looks as well as finally having reason to snuggle up in front of the fire watching nightmare before Christmas :-)

This year, I'm dressing as a zombie and have found a few little bits and pieces of inspiration that I thought I'd share with you today, seeing as I have neglected the blog a little!

This tutorial by Sayanythingbr00ke on youtube is a really simple and easy zombie look to achieve and as she says - it doesn't even have to be followed to the letter, the crappier the better! After all, zombies are gross!

I also found this tutorial:

Which is a bit more difficult but I also think it looks awesome! If I wasn't just going out to get drunk in a club, I would probably do this look over Brooke's.

I really love this look:

The teeth are so disgusting!

I also found this really thought out page on how to dress and act like a  zombie:

What are you dressing up as for Halloween? Have you found any brilliant tutorials anywhere or have any of your own tips?

Happy Mondays #1

Finally, that little bit of inspiration I've  been searching for is back! To celebrate I'm starting up a series on my blog of 5 things that have made me happy within the past week :)

I'm probably not the first person to start doing this so I'd love to see what other people have been posting on their blog!

1 - Getting in the best shape ever.

Although I did have three takeaways over the weekend - bad I know - I am actually on the path to getting in the best shape ever. I've been a member of the gym for ages but skipped it for a while when I was feeling really run down all the time. But now I have my energy back I'm trying to get into going as many times during the week as I feel possible, whilst not pushing myself too hard.

I've also started doing the 30 day shred again (although not every day) and have started using this website - http://www.fleetly.com/. It is a relatively new website that combines social networking with exercise. You add friends via your profile, join challenges with other members of the website and track your workouts to gain points. I think it's a fab way to provide motivation to those who may find it difficult to keep up with their exercise!

2 - Watching new TV series with the OH

I don't know what's going on in TV land but there are some really good shows coming out just lately. Firstly there was Sirens during the summer holidays and now my boyfriend and I are obsessed with Awkward (MTV, Tuesdays 10pm), Fresh Meat (Channel 4, Wednesdays 10pm) and Happy Endings (e4, Thursdays 10pm).

3 - Having awesome friends

Huge pub crawl. Playground whilst drunk. I need not say more.

4 - Shopping for my flat!

I won't even be moving into a flat on my own until next Summer but I'm already super excited. Naturally, I'm being really keen and finding bits and pieces to purchase whilst I can afford to now! I've always been one to plan ahead and this occasion is going to be treated no different. It's going to be my first flat, paid for with my own money (as opposed to student loans) and looked after entirely by me. It's a huge step for me even though I've lived in student housing and I can't wait.

5 - Birthdays!

It's my boyfriends birthday on Wednesday but I feel like we've been celebrating for the past week! I've been trying to sort out little surprises for him for ages and thinking of nice things we can do for it. I love making other people happy, especially him, so it's been pretty enjoyable :)

A Lush Christmas Wish

Lush UK have literally JUST posted a link to their Christmas products and here I am already blogging about them. I hope this shows you just how excited I am about their products this year, because I don't know how else to go about it!

Naturally, some old favourites have returned - So White, Lil' Lush Pud, Satsumo Santa, Gingerbread House, Cinders, Angel Delight, Snow Fairy, Glogg.

But there are also some pretty amazing looking NEW products available. Here are a few (HA!) of my favourites, chosen just by a glance on their website:

The Melting Snowman - LINK

This is said to have a scent much like that of Christmas cake, which although I don't eat, smells GORGEOUS. It's not Christmas until you walk into your Grandparent's on Christmas day and smell turkey and Christmas cake.

Golden Wonder - LINK

This sounds AMAZING. The Lush website states that much like a present, time is needed to reveal the full extent of this gift. Shaking it will bring the sound of rattling to your ears and popping it into your tub will result in a wash of all kinds of colours and little stars floating in your bath.

Northern Lights - LINK

I don't think there is much to be said about this soap. Just look at it. I have been well and truly drawn in by the bright colours of it and probably will purchase it just because of this.

Magic Wand - LINK

This is a fab idea. It's a solid version (a bubble bar) of Snow Fairy shower gel - on a stick. That means you can wave it around in the water until you have enough bubbles, take it out and save the rest for next time! No more saving bubble bars until you want an exceptionally bubbly bath!

Abombinaball - LINK

So cute! This ballistic is supposed to make your bathwater Alpine Green - sounds a bit gross but I like green so we'll soon see!

Candy Cane Soap - LINK

Again, another product that I pretty much just like the look of. I hope it smells as much like candy as you'd expect it to and I especially hope this is not a picture of the huge version! If the individual pieces of this soap look like this, I fear I may end up with a tonne of soap after Christmas.

Some of these products are unavailable on the website but I have it on good authority from Lush staff (at least in my local store) that the Christmas products are all in store around the beginning of October if not now.
